MARIE MADELEINE MARSDEN
(nee BOUBARD)
August 9, 1942 - April 1, 2019

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts the family announces the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and friend, Marie Madeleine Marsden.
She leaves to cherish her memory husband Lawrence, her children: Brenda (Durval Medeiros), Fern (Marsha), Ronald (Lynn), Darlene (Alvin Bear), Melvin (Alanna) and Lawrence, Susan and family, by her 20 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren; siblings: Joe, Linda, Melvin (Abby) and Eva; brother-in-law Miles; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friend Florence. She was predeceased by her parents, Frances and John; sons, Randall and Ira; siblings, Frances, William, Mary, Norma, David and Alex; Michael - she raised as her own, and her children's father Stanley Henderson.
Her family was her world as she loved each one unconditionally. Her hands worked hard yet loved so gently. Her faith was tested at the best of times but it never diminished as she loved deeply and she forgave easily. Heaven has gained a Beautiful Angel, until we meet again Mom.
To thank those who were there for our mom, the Pine Falls Hospital staff, Star Ambulance (Ray and Karen), Reverends Nancy and Richard Bruyere for their care, comfort and support.
Wake services were at the parish hall, Christ Anglican Church in Sagkeeng First Nation on April 3 and 4. Celebration of our mom's life will be Friday, April 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Anglican Church with Rev. Nancy Bruyere and Rev. Richard Bruyere officiating. Cremation will follow.

  • Granny, I think about you often. I think about you as I stare into the dream catcher in my daughters room and the one in the kitchen too. I think about you and how much you would’ve loved my daughter. She was born the same day, one year after you passed. I heard you speaking to me while I was in labour. I knew you were with me at that time. Thank you for being with me and also visiting me in my dreams when I need you the most. I still know you’re around brian a lot. He needs you. Thank you for watching over us. - Posted by: Dawna (Granddaughter) on: Aug 07, 2023

  • Day after your birthday, we had a mini celebration for your special day B9 as you called it back when. I can only wish you were here physically but I know you were are with us in Spirit Mom as not a day goes by that my thoughts are with you on the many, many memories you left behind with the good, along with the bad and sad times it all balances out that you loved us all unconditionally. I will take that love and spread it around to all. You are my guiding Angel Mom. - Posted by: Brenda (Daughter) on: Aug 10, 2021

  • Mom I miss you, I loved the family lineage you shared with me, the many hardship stories you shared. They made me see you in a totally different perspective and helped me to understand you better. Your last few years with us were not the best for you health wise. Your wish to see your mom and dad and missing sister Mary has been answered. The day you passed onto the spirit world I was very saddened but in a small way I was happy you got your wish. I didn't like to see you suffer the way you did but you did your best to make those around you happy, just like the kind of person you are. I love you mom. I thank creator for taking you and for being there for the family. Your loving son, Fern - Posted by: Fern Henderson (Son) on: Jul 08, 2019

  • We had a beautiful blessed day to lay you and your little sister Norma to your eternal rest. I am sure you and family were with us as we laid your urns into the beautiful memorial box made by Keez he put a lot of fine touches for he truly amazed me of his workmanship and the reason why for he loved you both as you truly left a lot of remarkable memories in all of us. You will be forever in our hearts our soul as your blood runs through each of us kids, great and great-great-grandkids...we are one. Forever loved and missed. - Posted by: Brenda Medeiros (Daughter ) on: Jul 01, 2019
