I could not let Bob's passing go without comment. As long as I can remember, Bob was there. Bob was one of the first people, if not the first, that became a friend to the family when we were new to Winnipeg. He was always a friendly visitor to the house and always on hand to help. I remember my father calling Bob “a walking road map”. With this knowledge, as a kid and as a teenager, Bob invited our family on many road trips to various Manitoba beaches and to the States, always navigating the way. There was always good food and a lot of jokes. Even though in recent years I did not see Bob often, when I did, he had a friendly word and a smile. I was upset to hear of his illness and I am very sad he is now gone. There was only one Bob. - Posted by: Sharon Skeete (Family friend) on: Apr 18, 2019

We had many good years of friendship, socials, reciprocal home dinners, discussions on many topics, good associate relationships as members of the Barbados Association of Winnipeg Inc. Then you became ill, I stayed in contact and did what a friend does. We watched your favourite sports - Blue Bomber Football and Hockey in your care-home room. To the entire family - my wife and I extend our deep-felt sympathy. Sorry I could not be back for the funeral services. FAREWELL FRIEND - RIP!! - Posted by: Neville Skeete ( Longtime buddy) on: Apr 06, 2019
