ISLA MAE KADAS
(nee CONDLIFFE)
January 28, 1940 - April 4, 2019
She was predeceased by her husband Chuck Kadas in 2008.
Isla will be lovingly remembered by her family, Cliff and Lynn Brown, Robert and Ann Kadas, grandchildren, Jennifer Brown (Dave), Curtis Brown and Emilie Kadas; cousins, Kathy, Kelly, Shannon, and numerous friends; as well as her pet cat Stewie, who was a wonderful companion for her over the past year.
Isla was active with the Riverside Lionelles, spending many hours serving her community. She developed many close friendships through these activities. For many years you could find Isla in the gift shop at her apartment block. She enjoyed watching baseball and curling on TSN, as well as spending time watching the Grapefruit (MLB) League in Florida. During the summer months she spent her time at the trailer in Petersfield and Winnipeg Beach.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the family who has given Stewie a new home.
According to Isla's wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest beside Chuck in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 at the Riverside Lions Estates, 188 Worthington Ave. with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Isla's honour to D'arcy's ARC - Animal Rescue Centre, 730 Century St. B, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0M1.
