MARCIA POTTER
Marcia will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Janet Scott and Meryl Potter, sons, Mark (Susan) Potter and Sheldon Potter, grandchildren, Shaun Scott, Heather-Rose Scott, Aaron Potter, Rebbekka Potter, Chase Potter, Tysen Potter and Sasha Potter, and great-grandchild Rayne Scott. Marcia was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Sam Potter; her parents, Samuel and Helen Stork; and her son-in-law Ross Scott.
Our mother was a strong, vibrant, energetic woman; she was strict but generous with her children and grandchildren. She raised four children and once they were all in school she went to the University of Manitoba earning a degree in cultural anthropology. She then joined her husband, assisting him in the ladies' apparel business, travelling with him and was loved by all the customers. They travelled to many places and spent many winters in Maui, playing bridge wherever they went. She was lifelong member of Hadassah.
In her final years her health made it necessary to live in the Simkin Centre Nursing. We would like to thank the all the staff of Simkin North 1 for their loving care of our mother.
Graveside service was held May 3, officiated by Rabbi Matt Leibl at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

It was purely by chance that I came upon your mother and father's obituaries. I have many fond memories of this beautiful couple and extended my deepest sympathy on their loss. - Posted by: Pat Senicki Guyda (friend) on: May 14, 2019
