VERA BROWN
She was born in Kent, England, and in 1946 she came to Canada as a war bride.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Lorne; brother Bob; and son-in-law Cliff.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carol, Marion (Gil) and Sandra (John). She has seven grandchildren, 15 great-grand-children and a very special sister Margaret in England.
Mom played the organ at Waskada United Church for 34 years. She busied herself as a farm wife, making the best homemade bread ever and preserving fruits and vegetables.
Thank you to all those at the hospital who cared for our mother.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m., at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave., with Rev. Mark Satterly officiating.
"We will miss you and
love you forever Mom."

Sincere sympathy to Vera’s family at this difficult time. I have many fond memories as a child growing up in Waskada and being friends with Marion and having many sleepovers at the Brown farm where I was one of the family. Vera was a kind and gentle soul and their home was filled with love and laughter. She will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched. Shirley (Temple) Ranson. Vera was the organist at Waskada United Church when I arrived there in 1991. I always appreciated Vera's ability to adapt to new music, and to freely share her gifts with others. Vera was a compassionate and gracious person with a delightful sense of humour. We shared many cups of tea as we planned worship together. I am sorry that I am not able to join you on Tuesday as I will be providing leadership at another memorial service. Please know that I hold the family in prayer and send blessings to you. - Posted by: Rev. Mary Best (former minister) on: May 04, 2019
