CELESTINE (SALLY) VERNA GRAY
1925 - 2019
Sally is survived by her daughter Laura Gray and son Douglas Gray (Janet). Also cherishing her memory are granddaughters, Julie Pacin (Larry Hosegood and sons Lukas and Aleksander Pacin and Skyler Hosegood); Paige Gray and Laurel Gray (Jérémie Gauvin); and grandson Madison Gray (Dominique Bonin); as well as daughter-in-law Karen Gray. She is sadly missed by her sister Teresa Lehman and many Ontario relatives whose prayers are much appreciated. She was predeceased by her husband Donald; daughter Linda Homann; sons, William Gray and Donald Gray; parents, Alexander and Mary Goetz; brothers, Ambrose Goetz and Father Michael Goetz; and sisters, Violet Goetz, Viola Coulson and Marie McDonald.
Sally was born in Kenilworth, ON and met her future husband Don while working at the University of Guelph. Sally and Don married in Kenilworth and lived throughout Ontario before moving to Wildwood Park in Winnipeg where they raised their five children. They enjoyed collecting antiques and making stained glass. Later in life they were fortunate to be one of the first resident couples of Southpark Estates where they made many close friends. Sally was famous for her butter tarts and five thousand calorie squares which she baked lovingly for her grandchildren.
A special thank you from the family for the exceptional compassion and care provided by Dr. S. Smith and the nursing and respiratory staff of the ER department at Grace Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg with Rev. Fr. Michael Lehman C.S.B., Sally's nephew, presiding. A reception will follow. A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally's memory may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation.

We extend our sincere condolences to Laura, Doug, Jan and Paige, Karen and children, Julie and boys during your deep sorrow with Mom, Grandma, Sally passing. We met your Mom and Dad while camping at Sunny Harbor Beach some 48 years ago. Through those many years, we shared hours of visits in our homes and telephone conversations where we enjoyed precious moments of laughter and Sally's delicious home cooked meals, coffee/tea, and dainties. What a special couple. Their humble and sincere close friendship we will always cherish. Someday we hope to meet them again in our Heavenly Home. May each of you be strengthened by the presence of the Holy Spirit. - Posted by: Fritz and Helen Engel (Friends) on: May 26, 2019

It is with sincere sadness that I learned of Sally's passing. Although we were not close she always greeted me with a smile and well wishes. When I lost my wife Sally was one of the first to offer her condolences. She was very kind and will be missed. Laura I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral mass as I have to take a family member to a medical appointment but I can assure you that I will be there in thought and prayer. May Sally rest in Peace in her Eternal Reward one well deserved. Robert Loiselle - Posted by: Robert Loiselle (Friend) on: May 21, 2019
