Mark, Daria and Lawrence, I just heard about your Mom's passing and send my deepest condolences out to all of you. Your mom was SO MUCH FUN and treated me so well every time I was out in Selkirk visiting - from being a newborn up until last year when I had a wonderful visit with her. As you mentioned, Heaven will for sure not be the same with her joining your Uncle Stooge, my mom, Uncle Tom and now Uncle Joe. Your mom grew up next door to the Whitelam family and the stories, I heard growing up about their escapades will never be forgotten. RIP Jeanette. Mark and Daria, you are always in my heart and thoughts of the times we spent together! - Posted by: Nadyne Beattie (Long time family friend) on: Jun 19, 2019

I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing Mark and Daria. My memories go back to early childhood and mom’s (Jean Laye/Kuzenko) many stories of years before I was around! She was such a centre of energy and fun! RIP Jeanette - Posted by: Debbie Colley (Cousin) on: Jun 15, 2019

Jeanette was the main resource person for the Selkirk Court when I first appeared for the Crown Attorney's Office to speak to the Judge's Court. She was always prepared for the weekly dockets and was patient with a young Crown from the start to the end of my appearances in Selkirk Provincial Court. She is deeply missed and will be a loss to the community. Rest in Peace Jeanette. - Posted by: Bruce Mellon (Longtime friend) on: Jun 13, 2019

Daria and Mark, your Mom brought out the best in people! How she loved to laugh and have fun! You are so correct in saying "Heaven will never be the same again." It will be more fun! I'm so glad you were all such an important part of my life in Selkirk. Your Mom will be greatly missed. Hugs. - Posted by: Kim Laye Skidmore (Cousin) on: Jun 13, 2019

Daria and Mark, so saddened to hear of your mom's passing. She was so vivacious, smart, and deeply loved her family. I always remember her at Jack's retirement in our back yard, dancing on our picnic table. She enjoyed her life to the fullest. - Posted by: Glen and Dolores Laye (Cousin) on: Jun 12, 2019

I am sorry to hear the passing of your mother Jeanette. I so fondly remember when I was a kid to have Jeanette (and the Laye family) join us on the farm. Jeanette and Eugene were the life of the party and always welcomed everyone into their festivities!! I loved being around her because of the joy and excitement she gave to all who were in her presence. May you and Mark and all who knew her share the joy and excitement she gave to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Bless her heart, she will be missed but never forgotten. - Posted by: Carolyn Perrett (2nd Cousin (daughter of Carl S.)) on: Jun 08, 2019
