WARREN ARTHUR WILCOX
August 17, 1934 - May 29, 2019
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Lorna Wilcox, of 61 years come June 13, 2019; children, Beverly (James) Grant, Rodney (Karen) Wilcox, Bonnie (Bill) Wilcox, Warren (Susan) Wilcox, Brenda Greyeyes, Debbie Leah (Luke), Clifford (Courtney) Shingoose, Jolene Greyeyes and Travis (Ally) Bard; 31 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother Ralph Wilcox of Hamilton, Ontario, sister Arlene McKenzie of Nova Scotia, brother-in-law Norman Matheson of Nova Scotia; and over 150 foster children, countless nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Warren was born and raised in Hansport, Nova Scotia. He met the love of his life, Lorna, in 1957 and they were married in 1958. He was a jack of all trades, and worked several jobs throughout his life, and at one point he went to Alberta and obtained his welding ticket. He joined the Air Force in 1956 and received an honourable discharge in 1963. He eventually was employed by Grain Master from 1979 to 1988, at which time he retired due to health problems. Warren spent the last of his days enjoying his time with his large, extended family.
A celebration of Warren's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2019 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
