ALBERT MERVIN COLE
1933 - 2019
He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Mabel, brothers, Richard and Kenneth, half-sister Alice and half-brother Elmer; as well by infant son David in 1968.
He will be sadly missed by Nettie, his wife of 60 years, eight days shy of their 61st anniversary; his children, Chuck (Kelly), Eleanor (Kevin), Peter (Nancy), Gregory (Bonnie) and Michael (Andrea). He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathan, Samantha, Jordan, Alyssa, Joshua, Jeremy, Jessica and Mackenzie.
He will be missed by his sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Al or A.M. worked for Canadian National Railway as a Fireman and then as a Locomotive Engineer. In his last six years before retiring in March 1998, he worked for Via Rail as a Locomotive Engineer, he enjoyed this immensely as he met and talked to people from around the world as they journeyed across Canada.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. at 10:00 a.m. with public viewing an hour prior. Pastor Jim Barber will officiate. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
