SUSAN LEE DONOVAN
November 7, 1957 - July 7, 2019

Susan Donovan (nee Winn), passed away on Sunday, July 7, at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a short illness, at the age of 61.
Susan will be deeply missed by her daughter Corrinne (Carl) Lischynski of Belmont, and her son Cody (Danielle) Donovan of La Broquerie, and her grandchildren, Amber (Jeremy), Jody, Chad, Kasey, Kayden, Hunter, and her newest grandchild, Jackson, born four days after Susan's passing, plus her five great-grandchildren, Santana, Karma, Sophia, Jaydin and Taylor. Also sadly missing her, are her sisters, Diane Field of Lac du Bonnet, and Sharon (Bill) Schwarz of Porterfield, Wisconsin, and her brother Earl (Pat) Winn of Balmoral, plus her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her son Dwayne Pearase of Kamloops, B.C.
Susan was predeceased by her husband Kevin in 2015, her niece Cheryl Ayres in 2010, and her brother-in-law Ron Field in 2018.
Susan was born November 7, 1957 to Elena and George Winn, at the Neepawa Hospital, but lived most of her life in Winnipeg.
She was known for her great cabbage rolls and perogies, and her delicious devilled eggs. The Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers have lost a fan, as Susan was a faithful follower of both teams. Susan loved to go fishing, play crib and bingo. She was a hard working, warm hearted person, who never turned anyone down when they needed her.
Cremation has taken place. A small family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a future date.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff who cared for Susan in her final days.
The family would also like to thank her friends and neighbours for their support and friendship.
Over the last while, Susan would always end her conversation with a, "Love you!"
As the family says good-bye, we in turn respond, with a, "Love you back!"

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though I was 5 years younger than cousin Susan, I can still remember spending time hanging out with her when I was a young girl. My condolences to her family. - Posted by: Trudy Bais (First Cousin (maternal side)) on: Aug 13, 2019

  • I am so sorry to hear about your mother, sounds like a beautiful person. Unfortunately I never got to met her. I knew your father though, when he was a young boy, I haven't seen him or his family since they lived on Lipton St. I have often searched for him as he was so very good to my father Jack. My father always spoke of Kevin with pride. I have such fond memories of the Donovan family. BLESS you all in such a sad time - Posted by: Eileen (Friend) on: Aug 08, 2019

  • I am so sorry for the families loss of their mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. God bless Susan. - Posted by: Kathie Ficek (Cousin on mother's side) on: Aug 05, 2019

You are finally with the love of your life. Hugs and kisses forever. Till we meet again. Love you more. - Posted by: Anna Smith (Friend/Neighbor) on: Aug 03, 2019
