A funeral service will take place this Saturday, September 21, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street. Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.

My family lived across the street from the Devuonos on Pacific Avenue and Gerry's younger sister Joanne and I were besties. We were always in and out of each others houses, as that was the way the world was back then. Gerry was such a neat big brother, he never teased or tormented us girls as older brothers sometimes do, and he was always up to give you a short ride on the handle bars of his bike (with no helmets either, how did any of us survive to tell the tale!!). I have such fond memories of him and the entire Devuono clan. Gerry was a lovely, caring and sincere person . I was saddened today to hear that Jerry has passed away. He was a true entrepreneur, professional businessman and had a heart for those he came in contact with. My humble condolences to the family and his companion. Hearing the news was a shock as I had the greatest respect for Jerry. The short time we had at Adesa gave us an opportunity to see the depth of the human experience and our talks inspirational. I will truly miss him, as I considered him a lost friend returned. The news of Jerry's passing hurts my heart. Yesterday I was remembering the good times we shared at Rehfit and Jerry sharing his beautiful family with all of us. He loved and was committed to his children and grandchildren, who are just as beautiful as his was. My memories of him will always be special.
