DOREEN MACNAUGHTON
(THORNTON, CARRY)
She will be deeply missed by the love of her life, Bob; children: Karen (Mike), Daryl (Diana) and Darcy (Paul); grandchildren: Wren (Keragh), Michelle (Jay), Christopher, Corey, Dayner (Inga) and Jazlee. Also missing her deeply are her great-grandchildren: James, Sean and Bella; brother Jim (Lorraine), sister Shirley, sister-in-law Gay, cousin Diane and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was such an important part in the lives of so many. Mom worked hard all her life in the restaurant industry while raising her three children. In 1993, she and Bob bought the hotel in Inwood, Manitoba opening up a whole new chapter in their lives. It seems that everyone in the Interlake knew and loved her. Our mom was an amazing woman, kind, generous, thoughtful, loving, vibrant, energetic, fun loving and the life of any party but the thing she was best at was being a mom, grandma and great-grandma. Mom and Bob always wanted their family around and the grand and great-grandchildren thought of Gramma and Papa's house as their second home. We all have the most wonderful memories of her. Mom taught us to be strong and we will be during this most difficult of times. We have lost such a wonderful woman and heaven has gained such a beautiful angel.
As per her wishes, there will be no formal funeral, just a small family gathering at a later date.
Thank you to everyone for all the love and laughter you have given and shared with our mom throughout the years.
We love you Mom / Doreen and will
hold you in our hearts forever.

My heart goes out to Bob, the family and friends, for the loss of dynamic and loving Doreen. With her infectious wit and laugh, she was a fun and positive influence at all family and friend gatherings. Doreen was also the rock - an elder within the family who accepted everyone for who they were, often offering wise advice. Doreen will be deeply missed by all. To Bob, Jim and Lorraine, Shirley, Karen and Mike, Daryl and Diane, Darcey and Paul and their entire families. We are so sorry for the loss of Doreen. We have known her for many years as family in law. She was a special lady. Always joking, laughing, and we knew when Doreen walked into a room. I have many great memories her wonderful wit and charm. I know Doreen will cook one of her delicious meals for my Ken in heaven. Special hugs to my nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in the loss of their Auntie Dee.
