JENNY NAWOLSKY
(nee MOZOL)
January 11, 1939 - September 30, 2019

Peacefully following a brief illness, it is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of their mother, Jenny Nawolsky on September 30, 2019.
Jenny leaves to mourn her two loving sons, Kenneth (Ken) and Robert (Bob); sister Gloria Beaton; sisters-in-law, Darlene Mozel, Walda Bosiak and Mary-Ann Orlins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jenny was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Michael (Mike), in 2018; her parents, John and Anna Mozol; and brothers, Bill Mozel and Al Bosiak.
Jenny was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 11, 1939 where she lived her entire life. Jenny married Mike in 1960 and, following a 10 year career with the insurance industry, she devoted her life to caring for her family. She raised her sons, Ken and Bob with the deepest of love and commitment which she saw as the highest calling of her life. Jenny was a genuinely warm and kind soul who always saw the best in people, treating all whom she met with gentleness, respect and unconditional acceptance. She always strived to see the positive in life and was blessed with incredible resilience and faith which anchored her approach to life and death, including her own untimely passing and that of her beloved Mike, 10 months earlier. She was a devoted member of the St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Women's League in Winnipeg for over 25 years. She recently renewed her love of travel with her sons, and continued to enjoy the outdoors and her flowers at her home and cottage until her tragic gliobastoma (GBM) diagnosis which she bore with grace and dignity. The selflessness that she embodied to her family throughout life shone brightest in her final months during which her highest concern remained her beloved boys.

Mom, your generous spirit and enduring love
will remain forever cherished in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their compassionate care. The family is also deeply grateful to neighbour Monika Wlodkowska-Bilinska for her unwavering friendship and support to the Nawolsky family.
At Mom's request, a private family service took place on October 9, 2019 to celebrate her memory. Mom and Dad, who so deeply loved in life, were together laid to rest for eternity at the Fort Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba to advance GBM research, or a charity of one's choice.
