JOYCE ELLEN BLAIN
(SCOTT)
When asked recently if Mom had had a good life she replied "oh yes, I've had a very good life." May we all be so blessed to be able to say these same words.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill Blain and her parents, Arthur and Mary Scott.
Mom is survived by her four daughters, Lynne (Ken) Stewart, Cathy (Ken) Toews, Theresa (Patrick) Feal and Marianne (Dave Duncan); grandchildren, Michelle, Chrissy, Justin, Lee-Anne, Samantha, Cassandra, Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Abby, Anne Noreen and Harnoor.
Growing up, our house was always the center of activity for friends and family to congregate. We have many great memories of dinners, bbqs, water fights, Mom and her bridge club, and pool parties. Mom's love of the arts exposed us to the opera, ballet and symphony. How do we describe our mom? Brilliant, a lady in every sense of the word, a woman before her time, an excellent cook who took great pride in her home, an avid learner her entire life, poet, animal lover, fashion lover, speech writer, complex, loving, strong willed, and last but not least, a woman devoted to her family. Dad must be so happy to see you Mom, even if you did keep him waiting as usual.
Rest in peace Mom, we love you. A private family service was held on October 10, 2019
