ROSEMARIE RUSSELL
December 3, 1939 - October 4, 2019
She leaves behind her devoted children: daughter Kelly Spiring (nee Russell), son Blair Russell and grandson Cole Spiring. Also left are her cherished sisters-in-law, Kay Kraushar, Joy Finch (Ray) and Arleen Kraushar all of Winnipeg, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S.
The youngest of her six siblings, Rosemarie was born to her parents, Henry and Sofia Kraushar in the R.M. of Lac Du Bonnet (Lowlands), MB on December 3, 1939.
Mom was happiest making our home warm and inviting though she dabbled in various employment pursuits. She was excellent as a salesperson and astute in finances. J. McLean Grocery Distributing, Ben Moss Jewelers, Glenwood Draperies, The Co-Operative, and Arnold Brothers were just some of her workplaces.
It was her steadfast faith in Christ, husband Bill and family that would take precedence in her life. She will be dearly missed by her church friends at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and friends in and around Lac Du Bonnet where Bill and her spent many years enjoying their lake life retirement.
Mom was always a good neighbour and friend to many. She was a gentle, sweet and wise spirit and is already so very missed.
The funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with interment and reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 Winakwa Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2J 1E7.
Our sincere gratitude for the excellent health care and nursing at Riverview Health Centre. A special thank you to Dr. Web, Dr. Giesbrecht, Dr. Goddard and Dr. Borchers.

I was the best man at Bill and Rosemarie's wedding and knew Bill since early 1953. I recall him telling me his first (and positive) impressions of Rosemarie. I have had them in heart ever since. God bless you both. My sincere condolences to the family. Richard Baspaly - Posted by: Richard Baspaly (Long friends) on: Aug 02, 2020

We met Bill and Rosemarie in 1981 at Poplar Bay Campground. We then purchased cottage lots at Pinawa Bay and had many years of friendship. As the obituary said Rosemarie was a gentle soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kelly, Blair and Cole. - Posted by: Norm and Terry Fisher (Friends) on: Oct 14, 2019

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Russell family on the passing of Rosemarie. I had the pleasure of working with Rosemarie at Arnold Brothers Transport more than 30 years ago. She was always a positive individual and had a great work ethic. What even made working with Rosemarie even more special is that I went to High School with her son Blair so I felt some kind of connection with her. She was such a kind and gentle person and I feel so blessed to have known her. She will definitely be in my prayers along with her family.
