EDWARD GEORGE WILSON

Early October 11, we lost our beloved Edward (Ted), husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Left to cherish his memories, wife Viola, with whom he spent 47 years; children: Bryan (Trudy), Brenda (Linus), Bradley (Michelle); grandchildren: Railene (Courtney), Travis (Carmen), Kiley, Dana, Melinda, Alexina, Breanna, Caylee; great- grandchildren: Cody, Marsaidy, Cassidy, Jake, Kellan; siblings left to mourn: Robert (Linda) and Sandra (Ken); sisters-in-law: Sharon, Maureen, and Marie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Nellie; siblings, Kathleen, Albert, Ron, Lily, Gordon, Gary.
Ted worked for C.P. Rail for 40 years, retiring in November of 1993. He loved snowmobiling and was President of the "Happy Wanderers" snowmobile club. Ted was also one of the first time-keepers of Beausejour Power Toboggan Races in 1962. He enjoyed camping, curling, fishing, cutting wood, bowling. Ted participated in Golden Age Bowlers Club and the National Championship in Edmonton - 1996. He belonged to Winnipeg Aquarium Society, winning many ribbons. Travelling in his motorhome, he went across Canada into U.S.A. and crossed the big pond to Scotland. Ted was an avid Jets and Bombers fan.
Family was a special part of his life.
Special thanks to doctors and staff on the 8th floor at St. Boniface Hospital.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with the interment taking place in Carberry Plains Cemetery.
