FATHER EUGENE RAIMBAULT
He was born the son of Pierre Raimbault and of Julienne Hermary on December 30, 1930 at Saint Boniface, Manitoba. His older brother Adrien has since died and his sister Madeleine Saint-Hilaire resides in Québec. Numerous nephews and nieces, as well as many priests, religious and lay friends, remember him in their prayer.
He was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface on June 13, 1958 and served as pastor at Holy Family Parish (also as assistant priest), Christ the King Parish and Holy Redeemer Parish (as founder-pastor). A large number will recall the quality leadership which he exercised as he headed the charismatic prayer movement.
His funeral mass in St. Boniface will be celebrated at the Saint Boniface Cathedral on Monday, October 28, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., presided over by Archbishop Albert LeGatt.
Let us pray for the repose of his soul, remembering how much he prayed for the Church and for the Church's mission in the world.
