John was predeceased by his mother Jean Hardt. He is survived by his beloved wife Else, son Travis, daughter Heidi and extended family and friends.
A private family service and interment was held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
