GAIL MAUREEN LANCASTER
Survived by her husband Howard; four children, Dawn, Kate (Mike), Sharon (Terry) and Doug (Liza); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Colleen (Don); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Gordon.
After her retirement 25 years ago, Gail got to enjoy her two favourite things, travelling and reading Stephen King novels. She started travelling with Howard by car and then motor home so Sam and then Pepper could go, and then 10 years ago travelling by ship. She loved cruising and trying new adventures – climbing extinct volcanoes, zip lining, swimming with the dolphins and stingrays. The last few years were spent researching and writing two books with our family history.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
