DIMITRIOS KOUTROUBIS
He is survived by his loving wife Stavroula; daughter Vicky (Robert); grandchildren, Alexandra and Jordan; son George (Lisa) and their children, Kylie, Keenan, Grayson and Dax; as well as six of his seven siblings in both Canada and Greece. He is predeceased by his parents, Georgios and Vassiliki; and his brother Kostas. We cannot express how deeply he will be missed.
Dimitrios was born in the village of Roino, Greece, in 1930. He left the village at a young age and served his time in the Greek army before moving to Argos, where he worked as a truck driver delivering goods across the country. In February of 1961, he immigrated to Canada in order to marry Stavroula, which he did in April of that same year. They spent 58 wonderful years together, building a life which saw the birth of two children and grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Anyone who knew Dimitrios knew that he was a proud, kind and loving man who cared for his family more than anything.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the family of Dimitrios (Jimmy). He imparted much kindness and generosity to whomever he met. This was only matched by his dedication to community and Hellenism over the years. Eonia Eimnemi (May his memory be eternal). - Posted by: William Constan & Family (Acquaintance ) on: Dec 21, 2019

I grew up a year or two ahead of the kids. Always knew him as Jimmy the great guy with the restaurant on the corner of my street. Thoughts and prayers for the family. - Posted by: ROB Walker (Customer/acquaintance ) on: Dec 21, 2019

So sorry for your loss Vicky and George and Aunt Voula. Haven't seen uncle Jim for many years but enjoyed our visits when he visited Ontario. Xoxo - Posted by: Vicky Macpherson (Family) on: Dec 19, 2019
