My condolences to Al and family. I had known and worked with Lorraine for close to 25 years at Canada Post. She would always have a smile on her face and would be willing to help you out with any issue. She also had a great sense of humour...which she had to have considering the people she worked with and for over the years. I remember going over a few times to help Al with various computer problems. Their house was always decorated with ornaments, etc. that she had set up for whatever seasonal holiday was occurring at that time. It was always festive at their place. She will be missed by everyone who loved her. - Posted by: Kelly Braun (Co-worker) on: Dec 31, 2019

To Al and all of your family, including Loraine’s sisters. The first day I met Loraine was at Canada Post about 35 years ago. We both were starting brand new jobs at the same time in a brand new department. We had so much fun those first couple of years. Many times, however, we’d lament and say “why did we leave jobs where we were comfortable with for these stressful jobs?” Loraine was a devoted employee. The funniest thing I remember ... Loraine’s boss told her he was waiting on a particularly important call and that she should track him down and interrupt whoever he was with or whatever he was doing. Remember no cell phones yet. The call came in and she looked everywhere for him. Finally there was no other place to look than one. Loraine knocked loudly on the Men’s Room door and also in a loud voice told him his call was waiting. Her boss came out of the bathroom quickly and looked a little sheepish and took the call he was waiting for. Loraine always went beyond the call of duty. That was Loraine. Throughout the years she was my good friend. Colleague too but mostly friend. She was an incredible friend. Someone I could talk to if needed. In the years before she retired we worked together again in Operations. She helped me through a few tough times personally. Loraine would not tell me what I wanted to hear but she would gently speak her mind. She was a friend who I could trust. I think I could safely say that Loraine was loved by all. She was funny and had a great sense of humour, the warmest heart ever and she loved animals. Her work space always filled with stuffed bears or animals. Loraine was a very classy lady, both inside and out. She loved life. She was an amazing friend all those years. Al, I am so very sorry that Loraine has passed, and passed way too soon. Her own corner of the world was filled with her warmth, laughter, determination and her love of life, family and animals. Loraine was uniquely her own person. Please accept my very heartfelt condolences and sympathy on the loss of this wonderful lady. I will miss her always and will always remember her. Loraine, you were an angel on earth and now you’re an angel in Heaven. God speed my friend. Terri Buschau. 💕 - Posted by: Terri Buschau (Friend and colleague for 35 years. ) on: Dec 29, 2019
