I just heard about this terrible loss through the PMI newsletter. Thank you PMI for sending out the info. Dave was taken away at such a young age and I will miss his great spirit shown in all that the Projects he led . Our paths crossed many times at MTS, GWL/IG, PCGI and PMI. He was always involved with the annual fun curling bonspiel and supported the golf tournament for PMI. I will miss his funny laugh. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Lorna Weir (Co-worker at MTS and Project Manager peer when consulting with PCGI) on: Jan 20, 2020

I met Dave in the 90s going to U of M taking night courses and then worked with him at MTS. We also had a few golf games at various tournaments. He was a great guy and always had a positive attitude. He will be missed. So sad to loose another. - Posted by: Ron Davis (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2020

Whether it was working with Dave at the UofM or as part of the PMI Manitoba curling bonspiel that he ran for a number of years, getting so much help from him when I started up my own business, curling against him, or the occasional hacking up a golf course with him, Dave always had a smile on his face and was such a fine fellow to be with. Raising a glass of rum to you Dave. You will be deeply missed by so many. My condolences to Dave's family. - Posted by: Les Howard (Friend) on: Jan 10, 2020

I met Dave 15 years ago when Smart Plan IT was started. Dave always had a way to cheer up the group with his quick sense of humor and always smiling face. He had a bounce to his walk that showed how wonderful this life can be. That's how I'll remember my friend. I thank God for bringing our paths together and I am blessed to have know him. I can only surmise that Heaven needed him for reasons not available to us. I have no doubt he's in a good place. My condolences Caroline, Mike, and Jimmy. - Posted by: Todd Jackson (Friend and Business Partner) on: Jan 09, 2020

Condolences to Caroline, Mike, and Jimmy. I first met Dave back in the mid 1990’s - when we both worked at MTS. We became friends - and curled together (off and on) for parts of 3 decades. Dave was a really good curler - and a nice person - always positive and upbeat. Rest In Peace Dave. - Posted by: Gary Shibata (Friend) on: Jan 05, 2020

I got to know Dave during my time at UofM as we were both managing projects there. Dave was great to hang out with over coffee, and he got me my start in the world of private consulting by offering me a spot as an associate with SmartPlanIT. I was saddened to hear of his illness and more so of his recent passing. Dave's legacy is imprinted on the lives of friends and family seen in the testimonials in this book of remembrance. My sincere condolences to his family. - Posted by: Sean Clarke (Coworker) on: Dec 31, 2019

I’m so sorry to read that Dave was taken from his beloved family and friends. It’s been many years since we curled together, but knew him to be a fantastic guy, fun, and very kind. My condolences to his family and may it bring peace to know he was a very much loved man. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Rod Ingram (Friend, past curling teammate) on: Dec 31, 2019

I say farewell to Dave much too early. I worked with Dave early in his career. He was a creative and productive guy, great to work with and just plain kind to those that he was around. His keenness to achieve in his working life was comparable to his competitive spirit and sense of fellowship on and behind the ice at the curling rink. Great to work with, great to curl with, a fine person. My sincere condolences to Dave's family. - Posted by: Doug Hayward (Acquaintence) on: Dec 30, 2019

I first met Dave in the early 90s at MTS. We became fast friends and coffee buddies for the remainder of his MTS years and well into his consulting days at MTS. We had a lot in common, including our mutual membership in the Order of DeMolay as youth. He was a great guy and I feel so fortunate to have had lunch with Dave and Warren Reimer at the end of November. He was positive we would meet again, but alas that would not be. So long pal. Happy trails. - Posted by: Bob Miller (Friend) on: Dec 28, 2019
