RONALD JAMES ROBERT HAAS

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Riverview Hearth Centre our husband, father and friend, Ron, booked his first tee time at the finest golf course in the heavens after teasing the family with jests right till the very end.
He was predeceased by his father John; mother Anne; sister Margaret; and brother Richard.
Ron is survived by his 'awful wedded' wife Louise; sisters, Ceceilia and Eleanor; children, Curtis, Lori, Kim, Darryl, Jennifer, Ronald, Blair, Corinne and Douglas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with countless friends and adopted 'children' from the surrounding golf courses, dance halls and bowling alleys.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020, in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. Finally, Ron will then have his 'hole in one' at his final resting place in Gimli.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre or CancerCare Manitoba.

"Hope you finally get that slice corrected on the wonderful course up there… FORE!"

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Firstly, I’m extending my heartfelt condolences to Louise & families. I haven’t known Ron for too long a time, but since I recruited him as a “Model” for our Ultrasound teaching programs under the Dept. of Emergency Medicine, University of Manitoba! He brought a smile (and a couple of jokes) every time I recruited him for a course and always willing to help out! Certainly an amazing, kind, generous man! May sweet memories of your times with Ron be held close to your hearts! Fore! Cheers - Jan - Posted by: Jan Middleton (Friend/Model coordinator for DEM Ultrasound) on: Dec 29, 2019

  • My condolences to Darryl/your dad would come through my check stand at Safeway - always nice to see & chat with him - very smart man. Glad to have known him. Take Care Gisele DUVAL 💐 - Posted by: Gisele Duval (Friend) on: Dec 28, 2019

  • Worked with Ron and shared many stories and laughs with him. Enjoyed his sense of humour, always with a twinkle in his eye!! Surprised that you are gone so soon. Our deepest condolences to you Louise. From us Watson's (John and Edie) now here in Dauphin. - Posted by: John Watson (friend and co-worker) on: Dec 28, 2019
