WILLIAM BERT CROSBY
February 25, 1957 - December 26, 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Bert Crosby (62), beloved husband of Kimberly.
William was an only child and was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Cora Crosby and his in-laws, Norman and Jo-Ann Smith.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law Edward Smith, sisters-in-law, Debra and Robert Tycholiz, Kathleen and Michael Wuorenin, Melanie and Greg Olson, brother-in-law Norman Smith; his nieces, Crystal, Cassandra (Theo), Elizabeth and Meagan nephews, Kevin and James; his favourite little people, Kiya, Savannah, Sebastian, Christopher, Eleanor and Everett; his cousins that he was close to, William and Linda Baine of Sherwood Park, AB, Rollie and Lois Fortin, Robert and Tannis Fortin and many others.
Bill was born and raised in Transcona, where his family had moved from Rivers, MB with the railway. Bill was a longtime member of Pipe Bands over the years. From first playing in the Transcona Pipe Band, the 402 Squadron Pipes and Drums, and finally with the Khartum Shriners Pipes and Drums. He played side, snare, and Bass drum. He loved his annual band trip in the spring and looked forward to going for many years. He travelled to many places with the different bands over the 50 years or so that he played. From California to Scotland and places in between. He loved going on vacations with his beloved wife Kim, and we're looking forward to planning another soon.
He worked for the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires for several years and loved the position at the R.C.M.P. Headquarters. He had previously worked for Federated Co-Op and Merchants Consolidated.
Honorary Pallbearers are the Khartum Shriners Pipes and Drums.
Special thank you to Winnipeg Fire Paramedics, St. Boniface ER and ICU, and Transplant Manitoba.
