LEO ALBERT CLEMENT
May 15, 1933 - January 27, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Leo on January 27, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Yvette. He also leaves to mourn his four children: Michael (Teresa), Catherine (Roger) Desilets, Marc (Terri-Lynn) and Richard; son-in-law Eugene Starr (Jocelyn); 10 grandchildren: Shera and Kathleen Starr; Chantal, Michaud, Mireille and Joel Desilets; Brendan and Kelsey Clement; Simone and William Clement (Laureen); two great-grandchildren: Leo and Luc Colosimo; and sister Claudette Clement. He was also a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Jocelyn Starr; mother and father Helene and Michel Clement; and sisters, Jeannette, Estelle, Yolande and Cecile.
Leo lived life to the fullest. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and horseback riding, but what he loved best was having friends and family visit and stay at the beautiful log home that he and Yvette built together and enjoyed for 30 years. He also loved to play cards with his buddies. Coming back to Winnipeg in later years was an easy transition. Leo was happy to make new friends with more card playing!
A memorial service will be held in Leo's honour on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Holy Family Church at 11:00 a.m.; located on 778 Archibald Street, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siloam Mission.

Family and friends may sign a

  • Warmest memories of flying his old plane using a snow shovel as a tail wheel! Leo was a true friend who helped me through tough times a long time ago. Got my life’s motto from him “Any landing you walk away from, is a good one“ It served me well. - Posted by: Yvan Gosselin (Old friend) on: Feb 01, 2020
