GRIGORIOS (GREG) SOTIRIOU
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Erasmia; children, Georgia (Jimmy) and Mary; siblings, Maria, Niko and Vasili (Betty); sisters-in-law, Toula, Diamando and Haitho; brother-in-law Panayioti; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Grigorios especially adored Joshua, his neighbour's son.
Grigorios was predeceased by his parents, Andrea and Georgia, and siblings, Mihali, Demetra and Theodore.
Grigorios was born on January 24, 1940 in Scoura, Sparta. He came to Winnipeg in 1965 where he met his wife. He spent his time in Winnipeg working in restaurants, and owned Geno's Pizza. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Grigorios enjoyed having conversations with his friends at McDonald's in the morning and at Tim Hortons in the afternoon.
Prayers will be held on Wednesday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m., at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m., at the same location. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

Greg, Mia, Georgia, Mary and Jimmy along with the entire family are the sweetest most loving people to have gotten to know...and became like family. Greg holds a very special place in Joshua’s heart and always will. He was a grandfather to him. Joshua along with Laurie and I(Nichol) were the blessed ones to have been in his company. The world has lost a very precious gift, Greg. Our condolences to Mia, Georgia,Mary and Jimmy. We love you all. Our dear friend Greg, you will never be forgotten, lovingly remembered and cherished.
