FRANCES MAE SENIOR
(PAYNE)
September 11, 1931 - July 25, 2020
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Heather Shaw (Randy), Shelley Hawthorn (Neil) and Alana Senior. Fran was predeceased by her husband, John. Grandchildren are Breanne Shaw (Braden), Cory Hawthorn (Shay), Holly Shaw (Kevin), Chad Hawthorn (Savana), Jennifer and Michelle Senior, Anthony Parker and great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by great granddaughter Aryanna who had a very special bond with her Grandad and Nana. She is survived by sisters Joyce, Joan, Bernice, Fern and sister in-law Louise, as well as many nephews and nieces. Fran was also predeceased by her brother Roy Payne and in-laws John Gogo, Walter Smith and Al Swain.
Fran had many friends and was well known in her Transcona community. She was a long-time member of the Transcona Memorial United Church. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, was part of the UCW group and liked to be busy. She knit and crocheted many mitts, scarves and hats for charity and volunteered where there was a need.
We want to thank her doctors and nurses, at both St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre, for their care and support.
To honour Fran's wishes, there will be no service. Please celebrate her life in the quiet memories in your hearts.

To Frances' family, including her sisters whom I remember, my condolences. May God be your comfort as you grieve, and may the rich memories you have continue for a very long time. Frances and I were playmates, my sister Bernice too, for about six years when we lived at 618 Moncton and the Payne family on Gateway Rd. We shared doll and dress-up times, and playing for hours in the "forest" in our neighbourhood. Wonderful memories, as my Mother referred to "the Payne kids". Frances and I caught up with one another through our niece Sheila Reid and exchanged letters a few years ago. I'm grateful for that. Fran will be missed at Transcona Place. She was never without a smile, and was such a sweet person. - Posted by: Ken and Carol Cox (Acquaintances) on: Aug 01, 2020
