PATRICIA WOODS
(nee WINSTANLEY)
She was born in Liverpool, England on Nov ember 18, 1929, and came to Canada in 1953 with her husband Ken Woods (predeceased) and her eldest son David Kenneth Woods.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Cheryl), Alan (Rose), Donald and Diane; as well as her treasured grandchildren, Tamara, Steven, Stacey, Krystal, Sean, Jennifer, and Colleen; and special great-granddaughter Ava, and great-grandson Aspen.
Mom was a proud member of the RAF (British Intelligence) and she retired from the Finance Department, City of Winnipeg in 1989. Grandma Woods loved to knit sweaters, toques (with the pompom), scarves, mittens, and her special talent was those wonderful knitted neck dickeys for everyone in her family. Her love and compassion knew no bounds.
Mom was loyal to her English heritage and enjoyed the annual visits to Canada from her father who still lived in Liverpool until his passing.
She had a special connection with her cats and dogs over the years. They were loved unconditionally and they gave her much joy and companionship.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service has been held.
"PAT'S JOURNEY JUST BEGUN"
Don't think of her as gone away -
Her journey's just begun, Life holds so many facets This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today,
how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost AND SHE WAS LOVED SO MUCH.

I just heard of the passing of Patricia, & would like to offer my belated condolences to all of her Family. I dated her Daughter Diane. I remember the first time I met Pat. She was very kind to me, and welcomed me into the Family. I enjoyed our conversations, and will always remember her great sense of humour. Rest in Peace Pat. You will be missed. - Posted by: Rob McLaughlin (Friend of the Family) on: Nov 27, 2020
