VERA EILEEN KNOWLES
February 3, 1943 - September 26, 2020
Mom was born in Winnipeg and lived in Fort Rouge her entire life. She bowled for many years at the Park Alleys, enjoyed games of Scrabble or cards, loved to listen to music but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Glen (Bonnie) Knowles, Cathy Walton and Nancy (Jason) Donald; her brothers, Bud (Anita) Ahronson, David (Barb) Ahronson and Rick Ahronson; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Stefan and Shawn Knowles, Caitlin (Devin) Walton, Katie Simpson, Nicole Donald and Morgan (Dylan) Donald, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
At her request there will be no funeral but we will have a celebration of her life in the future.
In lieu of flowers, in celebration of her life, please make a donation in her name to CancerCare Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

Rest In Peace Auntie Vera. I will always remember you as being one of the kindest and gentlest of souls I’ve ever known. From taking care of me when I was a little baby after my mom went back to work, to making sure I never did anything unsafe (like that time you caught me running with scissors). Dear Vera's family. Vera was my mom's best friend. They spoke for hours on the phone regularly. The Ahronson family summer cottage at Grand Marais holds memories dear to my heart.
