CORK: Norma Edith (nee Humeston), passed away July 2, 2011 in Fairview Home, Brandon, MB; at the age of 94 years, six months. She was predeceased by her husband Ian in 2004. Norma was born on New Years Day, January 1, 1917 in Wellwood, Manitoba. She and Ian retired to Winnipeg in 1979 and made a final move to Brandon in 2000. In retirement, Norma, with her husband, enjoyed traveling and keeping in contact with friends and family; and of course, following her beloved Blue Jays. Norma will be sadly missed by her four children: Keith (Marlene) of Surrey, B.C.; Lynne (Allan) of Denver, CO; Gail of Brandon, Manitoba; and Jim of Ontario; by eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three sisters-in -law and many cousins. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Whites Funeral Chapel, Neepawa, Manitoba; with Rev. Gladys Anderson officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, Manitoba. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Egan and the caring staff of the 3rd Floor, Fairview Home in Brandon.
