BRADLEY: Arnold Russell Bradley known as “Bing”, passed away at the age of 80 years, on September 3, 2018, at the Morley House Personal Care Home, Shoal Lake. Bing will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joy; sons: Bill (Eleanor) and Mark (Sherry). Bing also leaves beloved grandchildren: Cody Bradley, Krista (Brad) Congdon and Brittney Zellmer. Bing was born in Newdale in 1937 and lived in the Newdale area until he was 8 years old. His family moved a few miles west to the Strathclair area where he grew up and farmed with his dad. He went to the U of M and took his diploma in Agriculture in 1956 and then he returned to farm with his dad. Bing worked in the Elliott Lake Mines, drove a gravel truck and did various other jobs like caretaker of the rink and working at the local hotel. Bing married Joy Leitch in 1960 and together they farmed until they retired in 1996. They stayed on the farm yard and enjoyed their garden, fruit trees, birds and wildlife until Bing’s Alzheimer’s forced them to move to town in 2014. He enjoyed travelling, camping, gardening, fishing and the great outdoors. Bing was predeceased by his father, Austin and mother Hilda; sister, Gladys Beaton, and brothers: Leonard, Donald and Raymond. A graveside service and celebration of his life was held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Strathclair. Donations in memory of Bing may be made to the Strathclair Community Centre, Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba or the Canadian Diabetes Association.Rae’s Funeral Service of Shoal Lake and Erickson were in care of the arrangements
