GRADIDGE: Joan Gradidge (nee Elliott), born January 9, 1936, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 9, 2019 surrounded by her family and is now reunited with her beloved husband Kenny. Joan graduated from Brandon General Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 and worked for 39 years before retiring from Central Park Lodge in 1996. She will be greatly missed by her sons Brad (Linda), David (Anu) and Michael (Elaine); grandchildren Lisa (Clay), Kaylie, Karsen (Justin), Scott (Kelly), Matthew (Jenn) and Lauren; great-grandson Braxton; sister-in-law Eileen Gradidge; special friend Barry Johnston and nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents Harper and Ethel Elliott, husband Ken (married 1957), sisters Marjorie (Alfred) Hunt, Audrey Elliott, Wahnetah (Grant) Williamson and brothers-in-law Bob (Winona) and Percy Gradidge. Our sincerest gratitude is extended to BRHC ER and Palliative Care staff. The Celebration of Joan's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Mr. Kurt Ardron officiated and interment was held at the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
