Jacob (Jake) Abram Janzen passed away peacefully at Red River Valley Lodge, Morris, MB, in his 97th year, on Tuesday, Mar. 12, 2019.
Jacob is lovingly remembered by his children, Julie Neufeld (Ed), Don (Sandi), Ted, Sharon Sapelak (Dave), James (Nancy); 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brother Peter of Chicago.
Predeceased on Jan. 13, 2019 by Anna (nee Toews), his beloved wife of 72 years, and eight siblings.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 11 a.m. at Steinbach Mennonite Brethren Church, Steinbach, MB, with viewing prior to the service.
Private family interment will take place following the reception at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons International in Canada or to the Mennonite Central Committee.
