TINA REGEHR
1921-2018
With family at her bedside, Tina Regehr passed away at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018.
Tina was born in Muensterberg, Russia on Jan. 17, 1921. Together with her family, they immigrated to Canada in 1925, settling in the Winkler area. The following spring they moved to Steinbach.
She received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in her childhood. She was baptized upon confession of her faith, joining the fellowship of the Steinbach M.B. Church, where she remained a faithful member until the time of her passing.
Her younger years were spent working on the family farm. She was offered a position at the Steinbach Post Office, a job she held for the next 32 years.
She and her sister Mary loved to travel, and they were privileged to visit many destinations around the world. Charter bus tours and Travelogue were also a much-enjoyed recreation. While at home, playing Skip-Bo and Chinese Checkers were a favorite pastime.
Tina moved into Fernwood Place in 1992 and this was home for the next 24 years. Declining health prompted a move to Cedarwood Supportive Housing in 2016, and ultimately Bethesda Place in the summer of 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings; her memory is cherished by 21 nieces and nephews and their families.
Bouquets of thanks to Dr Mark Duerksen and to the staff at Cedarwood and Bethesda Place.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Steinbach M.B. Church, Steinbach, MB, with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
