KENNETH WILLIAM FUNK

Ken Funk, beloved husband of Roberta (Dee) Funk of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 65 years.
Ken was born on Apr. 26, 1953 in Steinbach, MB. He moved to Calgary in 1977 and met Roberta in 1978; they married in 1981. Before starting a family, they worked and travelled.
Ken was a millwright by trade; he founded and co-owned BVS Industrial with Doug Lindsay. He then went on to work at various companies over the years before going to work at Cleantek Industries where he found his niche working with engineers. Ken loved working with his hands, woodworking, gardening, and enjoyed working on his CNC router and his 3D printer. He adored music and his favorite band was Pink Floyd. Ken loved to laugh and to make others laugh. Ken and Roberta enjoyed travelling, especially going on cruises with friends and family.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Roberta, son Trevor and wife Shawnique, and daughter Nicole. He also leaves behind his three beloved granddaughters, Dillynn, Inara and Miranda, who he cherished. His greatest achievement was marrying the love of his life, having two beautiful children and three granddaughters. Ken is also survived by his mother Eva, his father-in-law Merv, and all of his wonderful loving family in Calgary and back home in Manitoba. Ken was a family man and lived for his family.
Memorial Services were held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle N.W. Calgary, AB), on Monday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. Reception followed at the funeral home.
