BARRY DALE POELS

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Barry, our father, brother and uncle. Barry passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 53.

Barry was born on Dec. 30, 1962, the third child of Albert and Martha Poels. He attended school in Lorette, Landmark and Steinbach. Barry worked various jobs from construction to truck driving. Barry was mechanically inclined and always had a curiosity on how things worked. His kitchen table was proof of that.

Over the years Barry’s health issues increased, but when he felt good he would love driving his van and checking out the MCC Thrift Store. He also loved to go out hunting and checking out the countryside. Barry’s one prize possession was his van and when I came out from work I would look across the back lane and get a glimpse of it.

As a family we are so very grateful to Barry’s friends Mike and Cyndi Sobering and Lloyd Friesen for always being there for him. To Reimer Agencies for their understanding and to all who have helped Barry in any way over the years. We are truly grateful for that.

Barry leaves to mourn his daughter Bronte (Colton), brothers Brian (Deb) and Tim, sister Rachel (Ken) Lachnit and their children Heather (Evan) and Craig (Brittaney).

He was predeceased by his mother Martha in 2003 and his father Albert in 2015.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation to take place.
