SIDNEY BEAUDOIN
September 8, 1927 - October 25, 2020

Peacefully in his sleep on October 25, 2020, at Grace Hospital, Sid passed away at the age of 93.
He was predeceased by his wife Anne (nee Ryback); sons, Paul and Barry; dear friends, Bonny, Jean and Ann.
Left to mourn the loss of Sid are his daughter Linda (Scott), son Dan (Terri); grandchildren, Nicolle, Andrea (Steve), Christopher, Alisha (Trevor), Wendy, Katrina (Dan), Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Teagan, Jake, Kane, Rose, Hazel, Eleanor and Aurelia.
Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg. After attending St. Paul's College, he joined the Air Force where he embarked on a long and varied career. He met and married Mom in Ottawa and started a journey which involved many moves crisscrossing Canada with kids, dogs and birds in tow.
Retirement in Winnipeg included many motorhome trips to Manitoba lakes for countless hours of fishing and the enjoyment of meeting many kindred spirits. Time at the cottage, gardening, both vegetables and flowers, provided much joy for Dad. His artistic abilities took him in many directions from photography, oil painting, water colours, cartooning, woodworking, wood carving as well as working in clay.
Dad will join Mom at Chapel Lawn.

We'll miss you Dad.
Rest In Peace.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Hi Linda, so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Sid. You and I were friends in Belleville when we were children. Our parents were close friends and we spent a lot of time with your family and the Stratfords. I would like to connect with you, so if you could email me back I would appreciate it. My mom would like me to convey her condolences to you as well. She is mourning the loss of another old friend. I do remember you and your family quite well. Take care. • Sid was a very close friend to my grandmother during her final years. The two of them were a force to be reckoned with at their living facility. Sid really pulled her out of her shell and got her playing shuffle board, participating in events and singing (yes, singing!) down the halls. Sid was there with her when she broke her hip, and visited her as often as he could in both the hospital, and the nursing home she went to after. They spoke on the phone, often a few times a day, and he helped keep her grounded in reality as her mind started to slip. We are so grateful for the friendship Sid gave my grandmother, and for the thousands of smiles he brought to her face. - Posted by: Jenn Farrant (Granddaughter of Anne Chapman) on: Nov 09, 2020
