MAUREEN MELISSA BECK

It is with profound sadness and tragic loss that we announce the passing of Maureen Melissa Beck, aged 29, on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born July 2, 1991 in Winnipeg.
Maureen was a beautiful young lady with a beautiful smile. She leaves to mourn her parents, Harry and Darlene Beck; brothers, Jamie (Brittany) and Corey (Kailey); nieces, Paisley and Bella-Jean; grandmother Margaret Shawaga; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Maureen was predeceased by her grandparents, Harry T. Beck and Anne Beck; and grandfather William Shawaga. Maureen will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
When you think of Maureen, celebrate the good memories you have of her. She will missed by all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by - Aboriginal Métis Church, 610 Selkirk Avenue, 204-226-7581.

  • My prayers and condolences to Maureen’s family, friends and coworkers. I have had the pleasure of working with Maureen as her job coach in the CAHRD SPF 6 month entry level entry level job training program. She demonstrated a strong commitment to reach her employment/career and personal goals. She successfully completed the program and was hired by the Neeginan Centre working in the breakfast program. Preparing and serving breakfast for the students in educational programs offered within the Neeginan Centre. She transitioned to the maintenance department on a part part time basis and was currently employed with the Neeginan Centre. She was currently enrolled in post secondary training to further her career goals and aspirations. As a Environmental Community Support Worker. She was excited and proud of her grades. She expressed to me that she appreciated all the support she has received from her family and others involved in her journey.   • Moe will be missed by many I myself am heartbroken. I still can’t believe she’s gone my beautiful Moe. I loved her as my own daughter and because of Covid I couldn’t even buy a card and the family can’t even have a proper funeral. I sure hope they can do something when this pandemic is over.
