RONALD HARTWELL THORPE
September 23, 1939 – January 28, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Ron Thorpe at Penticton Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife Gail (nee Penonzek); daughters, Nicole Muir (Ian) and Debbie Petznick (Dave); stepsons, George Gugins (Shari), Dan Gugins and Duane Gugins; mother-in-law Frances Penonzek; grandsons, Zach Muir, John Muir (Annie), Tim Jonasson (Germaidel), Brian Jonasson, Thomas Robinson and Derek Robinson; granddaughters, Jodi Coultas (Bob), Megan Shipp (Tobin) and Ginger Ricer; great- grandchildren, Nukota, Kendall, Rhett, Brylee, Gage, Bjorn, Ryder, Kinzley and Braxton; brother Wayne (Heather); sister Glenda Reynolds, and sister-in-law Karen Thorpe.
Ron was predeceased by his wife Mary, parents, Orm and Muriel, brother Dar, brother-in-law Harry Reynolds, and grandson Michael Coultas.
As per Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date.

He was a first class public servant and rapidly became a good and treasured friend. His intelligence, humour, personality and smile gave Ron the easy ability to work with all.
