THOMAS WILLIAM BEGGS

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas William Beggs on February 25, 2021; predeceased by his wife, Doreen, just 20 days prior. Mom most certainly called for Dad's hand and without hesitation he answered her call.
Dad was born and raised in Winnipeg, playing many sports, and making lifelong friends along the way.
Once Dad obtained his Master Plumber he began his career with Siemens Plumbing, later co-owning Mikkelson Coward, then moving to State Electric and finally to his pride and joy, Tom Beggs Agencies which continues today with his namesake Tom Jr.
Dad and Mom married in 1959 and enjoyed 61 years together raising two children and travelling the world.
Dad was famous for his homemade pickles, and with Mom at his side, he loved to cook and entertain - always the life of the party!
Dad will be dearly missed by his son, Tom Jr. (Sandi), daughter, Colleen (Scott), and grandchildren, Connor, Brooke, Carson and Rylan, along with so many cherished friends - too many to mention but forever close to our hearts.
Remember Tom for the strong man he was; a leader, a friend, a devoted husband, our Dad
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

  • To Tom Jr., Colleen and families, Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your parents. Gloria and I have fond memories of our time spent at the concert hall with your Mom and Dad as well as attending our friend Harold's daughters weddings. I first met Tom when I was an apprentice working at U. of W. installing sheet metal in the early 70's. Over the years we became friends and colleagues. I have many, many fond memories of my time working and socializing with Tom and the "boys"! He will be missed and is a permanent part of my memory and happy thoughts. • Our deepest sympathies to you - Colleen and Tom Jr, during this very sad time. Dad and I are so saddened and sorry for the loss of your mom, and now the loss of your dad. Our last visit with your mom and dad, was about 5 months ago, where they celebrated my dad's birthday, so sweet of them, your parents were wonderful. If it weren't for this pandemic, we would have been able to see them many more times since then. Though it is not the same, thankfully they all spoke weekly on the phone with each other these past months, and your mom and dad would always touch base.
