MARGITA LARSON
If you had the chance to meet Margita throughout her 73 years here on Earth, you likely would have felt her warm maternal nature, a friendly ear to listen to you, and if she could, probably slip in a word about her Meggy. She spent the latter part of her working years as the front desk receptionist at various hotels across Winnipeg and she was touched to be "work mom" to many. Her love of God carried her though many of life's difficult challenges and her perseverance reminds us that faith is a verb, not a noun.
As her beloved husband Darrell passed away in 2017, Margita's legacy of love is now passed to her daughter Megan, granddaughter Poppy, and to her many extended family and friends.
Heartfelt gratitude to Margita's medical team over the years and a special thank you for the outstanding team at Riverview Palliative Care for demonstrating an incredible level of empathy and compassion during her final days.
Due to the pandemic, no service will be held and the interment will take place in the Garden of Memories at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.

Megan, I remember making many memorable visits to your house as a young girl. Your house was always one of the places to be! Your mom was always so welcoming, kind and one of the best hosts! She would always go out of her way to make sure I was ok. She was someone who could always make you smile even if you were feeling down. My sincerest condolences and may her legacy and memory continue on forever through the eyes and heart of your little one! Love you guys ❤️ - Posted by: Courtney Pratt (Parker) (Middle school friend of Megan ) on: May 01, 2021
