SUSAN BERTOLO
1958 - 2021
Susan is survived by her loving husband John Olson, step-son Kristopher Olson, her parents, Leo and Louise Bertolo, her sisters, Marilyn (Robert) Long, Carolyn (Drew) Goddard, Jeanne (Ben) Lahnemann, Barbara (Darrell) Wiebe, and Laurie (Kim) Evans, as well as her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Susan began her career at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, before accepting a position at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK where she spent twenty-five plus years. With her professionalism and calm competence, Susan endeared herself to the university community and beyond. Her sense of humour, winning smile and quick laughter ensured she was an integral and most valued member of the university administration and a total joy to work with.
After retiring from the University of Saskatchewan, Susan and John relocated to Winnipeg, MB in 2015 where she continued her love of golf and travel. She particularly enjoyed many winter months in Arizona. Susan was a bright shining star whose light will never dim.
Susan will be sorely missed and forever loved by all those who knew her.
At her request no service will take place.
Donations may be made to the Cancer Society or the MS Society in her honour.
Family and friends may sign a book of condolence at www.glenlawn.ca.
