MICHAEL BARON
September 4, 1931 – May 30, 2021
He will be forever missed by his children, Arlene Anderson (John), Mike (Corinne), Brad and Steven (Lisa); grandchildren, Shane, Evan, Matthew, Chace, step-grandchildren, Kelsey and Savanah; great-grandchildren, Logan, Gabrielle and Richard.
Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife Elsie in 2005, as well as his brothers, Peter, William, John, and sisters, Annie and Nettie.
Michael was born in Winnipeg to Anna and Joseph Baron, being the youngest of six children. He grew up in Brooklands, excelling at many sports, then obtaining his master plumbing certificate and working for Mikkelsen Coward Co. for his entire career.
As a teenager, he met his wife Elsie and they married in 1951. They raised their family in St. Boniface, where he lived in the family home until his final days.
Cremation will take place with his interment at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
Anyone so wishing may donate in Michael's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or charity of their choice.

My Uncle Mike was a kind, quiet, funny man. Any time I’d be at there home, we would be engaged in many sports, particularly baseball And always eating. He was always fixing something for the boys to play with, vividly remember the mini bike he would repeatedly fix for Michael or Brad, Been a great journey for this gentleman. Having just learned of Uncle Mike's passing, I would like to express our deepest sympathies to my cousins and their families. I was fortunate to have such a true gentleman as my uncle. While we may have lived a distance away, the numerous great memories of the family get togethers with Uncle Mike and Aunt Elsie will be with us for a lifetime. I know he always had a special place in my mom's heart, his sister Nettie. Uncle Mike was always there for you and we could always share thoughts on how the original Winnipeg Jets could be a better team.
