WILLIAM PROHASKA
Remaining to cherish his memory are his daughters, Monica (Glen) and Patricia; grandchildren, Vaughn and Chloe; brother John and sister Anne.
He was predeceased by his wife Erika in 2005; brothers, Franz, Joe and Fred; sisters, Maria and Kathy.
William was born in Kutina, Yugoslavia on September 8, 1937 and spent much of his childhood in refugee camps in Poland and Austria before immigrating to Canada in 1953. He married the love of his life Erika, in 1963.
Dad was always ready to strap on his toolbelt and fix or build anything. He enjoyed helping friends and family. When he was no longer able to help, he was ready to provide how-to advice and tricks of the trade.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the staff at 3U4 at Seven Oaks General Hospital and the MAID Manitoba team for their compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
