NETTIE VIOLET FRIGHT
(nee WISHNOWSKI)
December 25, 1929 - October 4, 2021
She was born to John and Mary Wishnowski of Malonton, MB and raised on the family farm where she acquired her love of nature (deer and owls were favourites) and good home cooking.
In her teens Nettie enjoyed the live music and dancing just down the road at the very lively Crabby Steve's Barn and Dance Hall on weekends.
Mom was well known to all for her cooking and baking skills where there was never a shortage of delicious food. Her door was always open to anyone in need of a meal, which she could whip up in minutes.
Mom's greatest love was for her family. She was always her happiest surrounded by family and ensuring they were well fed. Grandchildren brought her immense joy.
Robert and Nettie enjoyed many years of travel with friends, especially to Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Nettie was predeceased by her parents and all of her 13 siblings, her first husband Walter Kowarchuk and second husband of 42 years, Robert Fright.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Danny (Kathy), Debbie (John), grandchildren Danika (Kade), Michael, Joel (Margaux), Lindsey, great grandson Levi, stepchildren, Kim (Bob), Pamela (Blaine), Leslie, step-grandchildren, Corie (Edward), Kevin (Rannah), step-great-granddaughter Hannah.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude go to Donwood Manor, Winnipeg to Grace and her caseworker teams for their ongoing support, kindness and love for our mother.
We will always love and remember you Mom.

Nettie-what a wonderful, beautiful sweet lady! I knew her from Dakota House. She would always stop at the front desk for a little chat or a laugh after meals. She would always try to feed me- as was her way. She would always talk about the kids and what they were doing or share memories from back in the day. She may be gone from our sight but never from out hearts-cherish and hold close the beautiful memories that Nettie gave us all. - Posted by: Sheila Selluski (front desk at residence) on: Oct 10, 2021

To Danny, Debbie and your families. For more years than I can remember your mom was always a sweet caring aunt to me in my growing up years. I have special memories of some "firsts" in my life sharing time with her. I had the pleasure of being able to dress and have photos taken for our Wedding from your home. She and Bob found special ways to celebrate my children and grandchildren whenever we were back to Teulon or Winnioeg visiting mom. Many years have passed but the memories I have are a very special treasure in my heart. I am so glad you were able to be with her at the end. She loved you all so very much. May you have many great memories to share and treasure in your hearts. Lovingly an sincerely meant..Marlene Bjorgan. - Posted by: Marlene Gibson Bjorgan (Niece to Nettie) on: Oct 09, 2021
