RONALD LEMOINE
On January 15, 2022, Ronald Lemoine passed away in his sleep at the age of the 89.
Ron was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Jackie, brother Gilles, and parents Matthew and Antoinette.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Don and Ray; his grand-children, Christyn (Tim Balagus) and Janelle (Scott) Day; his sisters Angele Carriere, Louise Nolette, Jeanine (Louis) Saurette and Giselle Lemoine; his sister-in-law Diane Rivard; and his brothers-in-law Bob (Juliette) Rochon, Roger (Florence) Rochon, Don (Irene) Rochon, Larry (Suzanne) Rochon, and Fern (Paulette) Rochon.
Ron believed in a hard day's work and worked at CN Rail for 27 years before retiring to his cottage at Falcon Lake with Jackie where he continued to spend time working on small projects and tending to the garden. In the winters, he and Jackie went south to their trailer in Phoenix, Arizona where they enjoyed the warm weather and many friends.
Ron loved playing shuffleboard, finding abandoned treasures at the local dump, a bowl of ice cream in the evenings, playing cards with friends and family, and trying new ways to keep the deer from eating his flowers.
He had a sharp mind and a great sense of humour, and was always willing to help out a friend in need. Ron made an impact on all who knew him, and he will be missed greatly.
Ron's family would like to thank the kind employees of Actionmarguerite Saint- Vital for taking such good care of him during his final years.
A private, family celebration of Ron's life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family niche at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ron to Cancercare Manitoba.
Family and friends may sign a book of condolence at www.glenlawn.ca.

When I was chatting with Bill about Ron and Jackie, he agreed with all the comments I posted, but his first response was “They saved Christmas,”. It is telling that this was just one of the many ways Ron and Jackie helped over our years as neighbours. That Christmas Day, we were entertaining the Younger Family for the first time. The stove just died. It was fine the night before, but nothing would make it work that morning. Ron and Jackie immediately offered the use of their stove, since they were heading over to their son’s for Christmas dinner. Bill checked on the turkey all through the day, basting etc. The last time he went, the turkey was done, but he slipped on a patch of ice on his way, and broke his ankle. Luckily he was able to hop to the door and ask to use the phone….The Youngers picked up the Turkey and proceeded with dinner, and even had the dishes done by the time we returned from hospital! Thanks to Ron and Jackie and family for all the fabulous memories! - Posted by: Bill and Catriona Younger (Next door neighbours) on: Feb 03, 2022

I was sad to hear of Ron's passing and of Jackie's previous passing. We moved into the house next door back in 1985 and, though we could never keep up with Ron's lawn maintenance and Jackie's flower gardening, we were blessed to have them as our neighbours. They were always friendly, freely gave advice as asked for, and we missed them from the time they left. Rest in peace. Jackie and Ron were neighbors for many years at Falcon Lake-sometimes in Arizona. They were always busy, friendly, happy.so pleasant. The "Roack Pile" on the front lawn was a beautiful flower bed. Our girls and Ray were about the same age as many of the children were." The Happy Gang" [I called them"] will have many happy memories Ray was so happy to get off the rock pile and go to the beach. Don and Ray I know you are very proud of your parents. They were very good people - Posted by: Bryant Family (Neighbors at Falco and sometimes Arizona) on: Jan 25, 2022
