JOSEFINA (JOSIE) PRESTO
March 5, 1953 - January 19, 2022
Josefina Presto passed away on January 19, 2022, at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 68.
Josefina is survived by her husband, Juan; their daughters, Joan (Danny Di Vito) and Jasmine (Cory Schumack); and grandchildren, Franky and Christina Schumack. Her extended family includes her brothers and sisters, Silvestre, Felipa, Jose (deceased), Hipolito (deceased), Teresita, Juanita, Eva, Salvie, and Eusebio Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Josie was born in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines to Eusebio and Lorenza Alibin. She attended Arellano University in Manila before enjoying a longstanding nursing career in Chicago and Winnipeg. Josie was known for her kindness, generosity, strength, and laughter. She enjoyed being with Franky and Christina, baking, and celebrating life's special moments with family and friends.
Lamay will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. COVID PROTOCOLS REQUIRE ALL IN ATTENDANCE BE FULLY VACCINATED, ONLY THOSE WHO CAN SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION AND GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID WILL BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND.
A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernadette Parish with interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
Josie touched the hearts of many and will be missed. Forever in our hearts Mommy, Lola, Auntie, Sister.

My deepest sympathies to all of you. Worked for many years with Josie on N3West at Concordia Hospital always enjoyed working with her. Loved her sense of humor compassion and knowledge.
