GLENN LEACH
We are heartbroken to announce that suddenly, yet peacefully, with family by his side, Glenn Milton Leach passed away on February 9, 2022 at 63 years of age.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon (Barney) and Delia Leach, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Hilda Pielak. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Paula, his children, Adam (Jenneth), Ashley Hardman (Derek Steiss), and his granddaughters, Kylee and Kolbie who were his pride and joy; siblings, Diane (Doug) McKen, Bart (Denise); Paula's siblings, Garry (Edie) Pielak, Ken (Valerie) Pielak, Gloria (Stu) Willison, Dave (Alex) Pielak and special goddaughter, Catherine Landry. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends who enjoyed his friendly and helpful nature.
Glenn was born and raised in Regina, SK where he started a career with CP Rail and married Paula, the love of his life. His job took them to Moose Jaw, SK, where they started their family and later moved to Winnipeg, where he completed his 38-year career and retired as a Technology Management Specialist with CP in 2018.
Nothing was more precious to Glenn than his family. He adored his beloved wife Paula and was looking forward to celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether it was holiday gatherings, casual visits, or helping them with just about anything. Even Kylee knew that "Grandpa can fix anything" and many toys found their way to his house for repairs.
Glenn and Paula enjoyed travelling, but especially when their family would join them at their destination. He preferred road trips to air travel and loved touring the U.S., exploring and seeing the sights. Glenn also took great pride in his backyard where he enjoyed many relaxing evenings, with a drink and a rock playlist on under the Pergola.
Glenn, Dad, Grandpa....you were taken from us far too soon. We did not know it was your time. If only there was just one more day with you......
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenn's memory to Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB R2N 1V8.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home and live streamed at afterword.com/stories/glenn-leach

I worked beside Glenn for many years at CP Rail in Winnipeg Manitoba, Glenn was a lot of fun always telling stories about his family, he was such a smart man and any problems I couldn’t solve I always knew who could. I am so very sad to say I just found out Glenn passed away and it was a shock! I can’t imagine how you his family are doing my heart goes out to you all. He really was an amazing man and deserved a long life. - Posted by: Pat Dolan (Retired co-worker of CP Rail) on: Jul 22, 2024
