PAUL WILLIAM DREWNIAK
(1944-2022)
Born in Horsham, Sussex, England on March 12, 1944, Paul came to Canada on the RMS Aquitania in 1950 during the flood with his mother and sister, greeted in Winnipeg by his father.
Predeceased by mother Elizabeth in 1988, father Paul 1989 and sister Lynne Gospodyn in 1999.
Paul was a skilled carpenter, building anything from bat houses to apartment buildings. He had his own construction company and retired from Manitoba Housing in 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; daughters, Shelley Drewniak and Joy De Visser; granddaughter Storey Watkins and brother Roy (Lis).
Paul was actively involved in the Masonic Family. As a Mason, Paul reached the high office of the Grand Master of Manitoba, Associate Grand Bethel Guardian of Jobs Daughter, Associate Grand Patron O.E.S., a Shriner and enjoyed many strong friendships over the years in a variety of groups.
Paul enjoyed travelling and took many cruises with his wife after retirement, going through the Panama Canal, Alaska and Bahamas. The family enjoyed four trips to Cuba socializing with the Cubans, making it a regular holiday. Travelling to Portugal and the Strait of Gibraltar with Shriners was a highlight.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Paul to the charity of one's choice.
A Celebrations of Life took place.

Nancy, Joy and Shelley. Paul was one of the most influential people that I will ever have met in my life. Not only by the wisdom and knowledge he shared with me but by how he handled himself as a man. I will say that the world has lost a true and solid warrior. I will always remember our great times together in Lester Beach with drinks around the fire, and of course Paul and I sneaking drink or 2 inside the cabin while we were "fixing " something. A truly amazing man and soul. Always in my heart J.D. - Posted by: Jason De Visser (Ex Husband of daughterJoy) on: Apr 23, 2022

ALL-SEEING EYE by Charles F. Franz, 32 I’d rather see a Mason Than hear one any day. I’d rather one would walk with me Than merely show the way. The eye’s a better pupil And more willing than the ear. Fine counsel is confusing But example’s always clear. How you walk and act the square Is all that people see. And the plumbline you put forth Is viewed by all you meet. So if your plumb and square be true, The center of your circle will be true. And the best of all the Masons Are the men who live their creed. For to see the good in action Is what everybody needs. I’d rather learn how to do it If you’ll let me see it done. I can watch your hands in action But your tongue too fast may run. And the charges you deliver May be very wise and true. But I’d rather get my lessons By observing what you do. For I may misunderstand you And the high advice you give. But there’s no misunderstanding How you act and how you live. - Posted by: Beaver Ionic #25 (Brother) on: Apr 18, 2022
