It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear husband, father, brother and pépère, Lionel, on April 14, 2022 at the age of 80 years old.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Armande (née Carrière), sons, Ken (Jacquie), Mike, grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Norman, Brett (Caitlyn), Julien, Cedric and great-grandchild Tyla. Also grieving his loss are his brother Edgar, sisters-in-law, Rose, Laura, Lorette, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Jane (née Gaudry) and siblings, Betty (Frank) Combot, Donat, Harvel, Paul, Cliff (Louise) and Hector.
Born and raised in St. Laurent, MB, Lionel moved to Winnipeg with the love of his life, Armande, in 1963. He had a lengthy career with Nelson River Construction before retiring to a quiet life of wood working and creating crafts with Armande. He loved to spend time with his sons working in the garage and teaching them all things mechanic which was passed on to his grandsons. He was a kind and loving man with a love for his beloved pet Bailey, bunnies who live in his backyard and spoiling his granddogs. He took great pride in his gardening and sharing its yield. He also loved spending time and sharing memories of years past with his family and friends.
